Understanding the calculation

How is your net salary calculated?

ITS

The tax on wages and salaries (ITS) is calculated on the monthly gross salary using a progressive scale from 0% to 32%.

Tax shares

2 shares if you are married, or widowed with children from the marriage; 1 share otherwise (1.5 with at least one child). Each dependent child adds 0.5 share, each child with a disability 1 share. Cap: 5 shares.

RICF

The family allowance tax reduction lowers the ITS based on your number of shares: 5 500 F per half-share, up to 44 000 F.

CNPS pension

The employee pension contribution is 6,3% of gross salary, capped at 3 375 000 F per month.

CMU

Universal Health Coverage: 500 F per person covered (you, your spouse and your children), 1 000 F per child beyond the 6th.

Transport allowance

Tax-free, it is added to the net: 30 000 F in Abidjan, 24 000 F in Bouaké and 20 000 F for “Rest of the country”.
